Introduction
The author states that his purpose in compiling the miracles of the Virgin Mary , which are included in the Forty Miracles of the Virgin Mary series and mention this in the introduction to the first volume of the book, by saying: Since the All-Pure Virgin Mary holds the highest position in Heaven after her Son and Beloved Jesus, as she is the Queen who sat at the right hand of the King Christ, and it is she whose offspring will crush the head of the serpent, as the Creator promised to Adam on the day he was expelled from Paradise.
She is the source of salvation for all humankind, through the birth of the beloved, only-begotten Son, the Savior of the world from the bondage of Satan. The Father looked down from the heights of heaven and, finding none like her, sent His only Son to be incarnate of her.
She is the one who, inspired by the Holy Spirit, said: “From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me.
” Therefore, I have compiled some of her miracles from various Orthodox sources in this small book, so that we may all join in praising and glorifying her with the heavenly beings, and so that you, dear reader, may join us.
