This book was written by Mrs. Liane von Wien in 2005, in German, and published by the Coptic Orthodox Church in Vienna, Austria.
Below is an excerpt from her words, expressing the depth of her feelings toward this blessed apparition:
“But for me, the most wonderful thing was to experience directly the Mother of God, her love for us humans, her gentleness, her purity, her radiant beauty because she is so holy. I felt that the mother of God is holy; Holiness was not a term I used to understand before. Words cannot really clarify what is sacred. But only from seeing, I knew: this is holiness!. Then I thought, if we experience such joy, such shock, such happiness, it must be similar to eternal bliss. I can’t imagine anything specific about that beforehand.”
Overview of the Book’s Contents
In the first chapter, the author and visionary speaks about Egypt and recounts her testimony of seeing the Virgin Mary in Zeitoun in 1968, during her visit to the country. She reflects on why she was in Egypt at that time, the biblical image of the Burning Bush, and the historical background of Egypt during the period of the apparitions.
Another chapter details the apparition itself—how she was convinced and deeply moved when she saw the Virgin’s crown and the radiance surrounding her, as well as the sight of the Virgin blessing the people and appearing to everyone without distinction.
A further chapter discusses why the Virgin appeared in a Coptic church, the moral impact of the apparitions on the people, and their great message of hope, which was accompanied by miracles of healing and personal testimonies from those who experienced her intercession.
